Sandra’s priorities:
CREATING JOBS & SPURRING GROWTH
Creating jobs and encouraging new development are key to strengthening our County. Sandra will foster partnerships between government, businesses, and the community to promote growth, and will use her expertise as an engineer to assist with current economic development projects.
MAKING GOVERNMENT WORK
Sandra has spent her career making things work better and saving time and money in the process. This is an important skill set to bring to government at any time, but it’s even more crucial in these troubled economic times. Sandra’s experience as an Akron Councilwoman will also be a valuable asset on issues such as consolidation of public services and regional cooperation among local governments.
COLLABORATION WITH EXECUTIVE RUSS PRY &
TEAMWORK WITH FELLOW DEMOCRATS
Sandra has worked tirelessly advocating for our community – from her leadership in local Democratic organizations to her regular volunteer service at the Battered Women’s Shelter – and she will bring that same commitment to County Council. Sandra knows that, far too often, previous County Councils have been bogged down by in- ghting among Democrats. Sandra will work together with the solid Democratic majority on Council to continue to ensure that County budgets are carefully balanced, and to help enact the initiatives of our Democratic County Executive, Russ Pry.
